REFERENCE: Prototyping Smart Helmets: Delivering Innovation with UPTIVE’s Expertise – Uptive (uptivemfg.com)
Numorpho Cybernetic Systems (NUMO) is thrilled to be featured in UPTIVE Manufacturing ‘s case study showcasing our successful collaboration in prototyping smart helmets using advanced additive manufacturing techniques. This partnership has enabled us to rapidly develop and iterate various helmet designs, bringing us closer to finalizing our innovative smart helmet.
By leveraging Uptive’s expertise in material sourcing and engineering solutions, we were able to create helmet prototypes that catered to both industrial and consumer markets. The Muti Jet Fusion (MJF), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Continuous Fiber Reinforcement technologies that they employ in partnership with HP, Stratasys and Markforged allowed for efficient iteration and decision-making throughout the development process of creating helmets catering to specific use cases like construction, firefighters and the military.
We like how Uptive has started a disruptive wave in digital manufacturing and how they enable right fitting manufacturing solutions based on where you are in the business cycle. We are thankful to Würth Additive Group and Karthik Chandramouli, Expert in Residence at mHUB for having introduced us to James Teuber and Uptive.
As we move forward in our mission to prioritize safety and protection with cutting-edge technology, we are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Uptive Manufacturing. Together, we demonstrate the potential of additive manufacturing to drive innovation in the production of safety products like smart helmets.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue pushing the boundaries of PPE and technology!
