AI in Manufacturing: From First Steps to Smart Solutions was an event held at Trumpf’s Smart Factory (Mechamation) facility in Hoffman Estates with a follow up after event at the Capital Grille in Schaumburg where the discussion was on Smart Industry and Transatlantic Ties: Resilience during GLobal Uncertainity.

It included a tour of TRUMPF’s cutting-edge facility and presentations by industry leaders, emphasized the importance of transatlantic collaboration in fostering innovation and resilience during global uncertainty.

The facility’s open layout, designed for modular construction, served as a testament to TRUMPF’s commitment to adaptability and scalability. Attendees had the opportunity to witness the company’s unique Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in action, efficiently managing various processes throughout the factory floor. The innovations on display included automated solutions for laser cutting, welding, bending, and pick-and-place operations, highlighting the transformative potential of AI-driven technologies.

Following a warm welcome by the German-American Chamber of Commerce and the Consul General of Germany, SAP Labs delivered a keynote presentation on the role of AI in manufacturing. The talk provided valuable insights into how AI can optimize production processes, improve supply chain management, and drive innovation across industries.
