UC01 – Omni Channel Marketplace

Our first use case for Industry 4.0 – A blueprint for Connected Commerce Marketplace for Contract Manufacturing

Utilizing the Digital Twine, we created waypoints (integration hubs) to manage the intersects between multiple systems as the ecosystem evolves to have additional capabilities.

By starting with a Commerce Strategy to build a marketplace where OEMs, suppliers, 3D print shops and consumers could interact to transfer CAD geometries of parts, associate it with the right materials and decide on the appropriate printer for manufacturing – this would be the beginning of a paradigm shift for connected commerce where we obviate the need for remote manufacturing, shipping and warehousing to enable parts to be created and procured on demand at home (if you have the right 3D printer) or in a 3D print shop near you. Remember Kinkos?

This could very easily be used to fabricate wearables – clothes, shoes, masks (I think that they are here to stay) and other items in the future.
