“You know the beginning and the end of the story, but you also need to know the middle”. This is also true in training AI networks with cause and effect – it is necessary to understand what happens in between. In case of this issue, the physicists invented a math equivalent to the genetic code which has encoded rules on valid combinations. These “inscrutable” rules might be based in science and math but also a result of hidden patterns. With this “physicists could be scratching the surface of an all-encompassing theoretical structure in which these surprising connections are manifest”.
In our quest for connecting everything from an enterprise perspective at Numorpho Cybernetic Systems (NUMO), we plan to exploit the duality between physics and math (we call it physmatics) to train and engineer solutions for actionable intelligence.
We also believe that platforms and products are conjoint in the making of the solution, and one feeds from the other to build a circular basis for each other’s existence. It is thus very important to also understand the middle (aka how the sausage is made), not just the beginning and the end.
