As we commemorate Juneteenth today, we acknowledge the price that we as a nation have paid for our freedoms, and how it has enabled companies like Numorpho Cybernetic Systems (NUMO) to freely charter our progression without inhibitions, race discriminations or prejudice.

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is an annual holiday celebrated on June 19th in the United States. It commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and recognizes the day when news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865.

On Juneteenth, African Americans and people of various backgrounds come together to celebrate freedom, reflect on the struggles and achievements of their ancestors, and promote unity and equality. It serves as a time for education, cultural events, community gatherings, and discussions about the ongoing fight against racial inequality.

In recent years, there has been a growing recognition and observance of Juneteenth as a significant holiday across the United States, with efforts to make it a national holiday. On June 17, 2021, Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday following the passage of the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act. This designation acknowledges the historical significance of Juneteenth and its importance in American history.

As the White House noted in last year’s proclamation, Juneteenth is “a chance to celebrate human freedom, reflect on the grievous and ongoing legacy of slavery, and rededicate ourselves to rooting out the systemic racism that continues to plague our society as we strive to deliver the full promise of America to every American.”

The road for our future both as a nation and as a company will not be easy – we will stumble and we will fall but we will maintain true to our purpose and we will not fail.

To paraphrase from the Invictus:

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

“Make No Little Plans – Think Big” will be the go forward mantra for our company as we define our strategy, design its constituents and progress on our exacting journey to build that very set of compelling products and services, which will make a difference in the tomorrow as we sustain our planet and explore the stars.

Nitin, you have captured the spirit of freedom which has been a yearning for the entire mankind.

Yet, this day is special, and quite sentimental to the African Americans in this country whose contributions to building this country and that of the African American scientists, artists, musicians, entertainers, actors and actresses, singers, inventors of jazz music, entrepreneurs, athletes and numerous intellectuals including M. L. King need to be recognized. They were the brave ones. They demonstrated the spirit of independence of intellect and spirit. We are all standing on their shoulders, and are hoping to do away with systemic and structural racism as much as they do.

The American society has evolved by leaps and bounds since the Juneteenth day of 1865. We are all the beneficiaries of this societal change and slow reform, more yet to come. We express our gratitude to the past and present leaders of the African Americans on this day. We acknowledge the physical, emotional, and mental pain they all suffered and the generational trauma they all faced. They are slowly recovering but the scars are deep and the pain lingers.

All of us at Numorpho present and our future associates, colleagues, partners, and friends will hope to keep the spirit of freedom alive. The freedom will allow us to be creative, and make a significant contribution to the American and World civilization to move forward to create a new world not just in engineering, but in human relations, human-machine interactions, and global conservation, climate control, etc.

Our goal is in improving quality of life for the human race implementing the big data based cybernetic systems in as many walks of life as we possibly can from environment, mobility, infrastructure, building ecosystems that are embedded in the smart cities, smart transportation, and IoT.

The spirit of Juneteenth allows us to dream big and in Martin Luther King’s words say, “We have a dream.” NUMORPHO’S New version of AI of future will be benevolent and people need not fear what Numorpho plans to introduce in this domain.
