Then break it up to show the hole in the middle, and so and so forth for each iteration. Go up to 5 iterations only and repeat from the start. This should be manageable and showable. The for the user interface, have options to change the color of the triangles (one color at a time), and have a variable for the number of iterations (up to 10)
The Sierpinski Gasket, also known as the Sierpinski Triangle or Sierpinski Sieve, is a well-known fractal named after the Polish mathematician Wacław Sierpiński. It is a self-similar, infinitely recurring pattern that looks like an equilateral triangle subdivided recursively into smaller equilateral triangles. The Sierpinski Gasket is formed by starting with an equilateral triangle, subdividing it into four congruent equilateral triangles, and then removing the middle triangle. This process is then repeated recursively with the remaining triangles ad infinitum. The Sierpinski Gasket exhibits interesting mathematical properties, such as an infinite perimeter and zero area, and is often used as an example of a fractal in mathematics education. Variations of the Sierpinski Gasket can be created by altering the initial shape, the scaling factor, or the removal pattern, leading to different fractal structures with unique features.
